“I am She”
By: Joshua Bailey

I am She
I am torn
I am worn
Sworn to death and
Embraced by he
That wounds me in the darkness
Clouded by no less than fear
With monsoons of despaired
Hopelessness nearing one more year
This is darkness
This is existence
This is fate
I hear whispers in the shadows, “Rescue”
Glimmering hope is crushed by he that chains me in the darkness
I wonder how much longer I must endure
How much more my body can take before it shuts down
I have been stripped of everything!
All that is pure
All that is innocent
All that is human
Violated and desolate my body knows no rest
My soul knows no peace
And deep within I know that no one is coming for me
I am abandoned and left as nothing
I am alone
I am nameless
I am faceless

I am She
